Terms of Service
Last updated: July 19, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the ChainSlash website and game at chainslash.com (the "Service"), operated by the ChainSlash team (the "Operator", "we"). By creating an account, checking the consent boxes at registration, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service is a free alpha test
ChainSlash is currently in alpha testing. The Service is provided free of charge, for testing and feedback purposes only. It is not a finished product. Features, game balance, content, items, currencies, progress, leaderboards and access rules may be changed, reset, wiped or removed at any time, without notice and without compensation. We may suspend, interrupt or permanently discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time and for any reason.
2. No obligations of the Operator
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, participation in the alpha does not create any obligation of the Operator towards you. In particular, we do not owe you: continued availability of the Service or of any feature; preservation of any account, progress, item or reward; any payment, prize, refund or other compensation; any support or response time. Anything we may grant during the alpha (access, items, rewards, badges) is a revocable courtesy, not an entitlement.
3. Accounts
You need a valid email address to register. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for all activity under your account. We may restrict, suspend or delete any account at our sole discretion, in particular for cheating, exploiting bugs, automation/botting, attacks on the Service, or other abuse.
4. Virtual items and currencies have no value
All in-game items, currencies, tickets, rewards and any other virtual content are fictional game data. They have no monetary value, are not redeemable for money or anything of value, cannot be sold or transferred outside the game, and you acquire no property rights in them. Nothing in the Service is an offer, promise or expectation of profit, income or any financial return, and nothing in the Service constitutes financial, investment or legal advice.
5. Blockchain features (optional, test networks only)
The Service may optionally interact with a cryptocurrency wallet you control. During the alpha, any blockchain functionality operates on test networks (e.g. Base Sepolia) with test tokens that have no value. Connecting a wallet is voluntary and never required to play. We never ask for your seed phrase or private keys, and we never take custody of your assets. You are solely responsible for your wallet and for anything you sign with it.
6. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, availability, accuracy or freedom from errors and interruptions. Alpha software contains bugs; expect them.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages, loss of data, loss of virtual items or progress, or loss of profits arising out of or related to the Service. As the Service is free, the total aggregate liability of the Operator is limited to the amount you paid for the Service: zero. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (e.g. for intent or gross negligence).
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to: exploit bugs for advantage (report them instead); use bots, scripts or automation; attack, overload or probe the Service; attempt to access other users' accounts or non-public parts of the Service; use the Service for anything illegal.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including its code, art, names and content, belongs to the Operator or its licensors. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the Service for playing. If you send us feedback or suggestions, you grant us the right to use them without restriction or compensation.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms at any time by posting the new version on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Contact
