Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 19, 2026
This policy explains what data the ChainSlash operator ("we") processes when you use chainslash.com (the "Service") and why. We keep it short because we deliberately collect very little: the Service has no advertising, no analytics trackers and no sale of data.
1. Who is responsible
The data controller is the operator of chainslash.com. Contact for all privacy matters: contact@chainslash.com.
2. What we process
- Account data — your email address, chosen nickname and a salted hash of your password (we never store the password itself). Processed to operate your account, save game progress and send account emails (verification, password reset).
- Game data — your in-game progress, items, settings and actions. Processed to run the game.
- Technical data — IP address and basic request metadata in server logs. Processed for security: rate limiting, abuse and attack prevention, and debugging. Logs are rotated and not used for profiling.
- Wallet address — only if you voluntarily connect a cryptocurrency wallet: the public address and signatures you approve. We never see or ask for your seed phrase or private keys.
- Cookies / local storage — a session cookie to keep you signed in and local storage for preferences (language, sound). No third-party or advertising cookies.
3. Third-party services we rely on
- Cloudflare Turnstile — bot protection on the registration form. Cloudflare may process technical data (such as your IP address) to distinguish humans from bots.
- Transactional email provider — delivers account emails (verification, password reset) to the address you registered with.
- Hosting provider — the servers the Service runs on.
These providers process data on our behalf to run the Service; we do not share your data with anyone for marketing.
4. Legal basis
We process account and game data to provide the Service you signed up for (performance of a contract) and technical/security data to protect the Service (legitimate interest).
5. Retention
Account and game data are kept while your account exists. Server logs are kept for a short rolling period for security purposes. As an alpha test, the entire dataset may also be wiped as part of a reset (see the Terms).
6. Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing contact@chainslash.com from your registered address. Deleting your account deletes your progress and cannot be undone.
7. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 16. Do not register if you are under 16.
8. Changes
We may update this policy at any time by posting the new version here with an updated date.
